I'm riding to support sick and injured kids
Imagine
hearing the news that your child has a critical or terminal illness and you
love hundreds of kilometres away from help.
Your first
thought is – what do we do? Where do we live while they undergo lifesaving
treatment? We can’t afford this. What happens to the family?
Then you get
introduced to the amazing team at Ronald McDonald House – GWS who open
their doors to you, provide home cooked meals and free accommodation that makes
it feel like home and keeps your family together – all within a few steps to
the hospital where you will spend most of your days.
This
September I’m participating in The Big Spin, a spin bike cycling event spanning
12 hours. Set on the beautiful backdrop of Sydney Harbour, my team Your Pace or
Mine are aiming to beat our target from 2025.
